The short answer
Niglihawa, north of Taulihawa, has a broken Ashokan pillar with inscriptions beside a large pond. It is linked to Kanakamuni Buddha, and the pillar records Ashoka's visit and his enlarging of a stupa there.
Sagarhawa is a forest site with a pond known as Lumbu Sagar. Archaeologists connect it to the tragic end of the Shakya clan in Buddhist tradition. Both sites are calm and shaded in parts, and suit people who enjoy ancient inscriptions and walking.
