The short answer
Gotihawa, a few kilometres southwest of Taulihawa, is tied by tradition to Krakuchanda Buddha, a Buddha said to have come before Siddhartha. A broken Ashokan pillar stands here beside brick stupa remains and a pond.
Kudan lies south of Tilaurakot and is a mound of old structures near a pond. Tradition links it to the meeting of King Suddhodhana and the Buddha after his return, and to the offering of a monk's robe. Both are simple, peaceful and best visited with a guide who can tell the stories.
