The short answer
From Bandipur, an easy walk of about an hour leads to Ramkot, a Magar village where farming still shapes daily life. You can continue to Chapdi Barahi, a sacred site with a pond, then take a bus onward. Other short walks reach the Gadhi viewpoint, Mukhundeswari shrine, Raniban forest and the Siddha Gufa area.
These walks give a gentle taste of village life without a trek. Go early or late to avoid heat, carry water and wear walking shoes. Bandipur itself is a preserved Newar hill town, so the mix of culture, views and small villages is popular for one or two nights.
