The short answer
The Seti is a gentle two-day option on the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway side, starting near Damauli and ending near the Trishuli confluence, about 32 km downstream. It has mostly easy rapids, warm water for Nepal, forests and birdlife, and a night on a sandy beach.
Because the pace is relaxed, it suits families, first-time rafters and anyone who wants a calm river with a camp night. Combine it with Chitwan or Pokhara. The Budhi Gandaki is a similar easy Class II to III option from Arughat, which can be paired with a short trek in the Gorkha area.
