The short answer
Bhimeshwar is an important Shiva temple in Dolakha bazaar, east of Kathmandu, known as a local pilgrimage place and for its old Newar architecture. The town has a long trading history, and the area is also the base for Kalinchowk and Gaurishankar views.
The temple was damaged in the 2015 earthquakes and has been repaired, so details of the site may have changed. It is best combined with a Kalinchowk visit or a Rolwaling trek start, since Dolakha is not on most casual tourist routes.
