The short answer
Parsa National Park lies east of Chitwan and shares a forest corridor with it, so tigers, elephants and leopards move between the two. It is a hot, dry sal-forest park with a quiet visitor side, and it is known for good birdwatching.
It makes sense for people who want a quieter alternative to Chitwan or have extra time in the central Terai. Its lodges are fewer and safaris are simpler, so check access and seasons with your operator.
