Where in Nepal can you see tigers and rhinos?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

Chitwan is the best place for one-horned rhinos and a decent chance of a tiger sighting; Bardia has more tigers per visitor but fewer rhinos; Shuklaphanta and Parsa add swamp deer and elephants. None of them guarantees a tiger.

Insider tip

Tiger sightings are never guaranteed. Plan for two or three full days so your odds improve, and let the guide choose the route.

Avoid this

Do not book a one-night stay if a tiger is your only goal. You will be disappointed by chance, not by effort.
