The short answer
Tsum Valley is a sacred Tibetan-style valley north of the Manaslu Circuit, with monasteries, mani walls and traditional villages. It is a restricted area, so it needs a permit and licensed operator, and it is often combined with the Manaslu Circuit for about two weeks.
The valley feels like a window to old Tibet, with prayer flags, yaks and polyandrous traditions in some villages. Lodging is simple.
