The short answer
The Trishuli is Nepal's most popular rafting river because it is close to Kathmandu and Pokhara and has a mix of rapids and calm stretches. Trips run from one to three days, usually starting near Charaudi and camping on a beach such as Kuringhat before finishing near the Trishuli and Narayani confluence area or the Chitwan side.
Rapids have names such as Upset and Pinball, and most of the run is Class II to III. It is possible to run in many months, but monsoon water is high and fast, so beginners should choose the season carefully. Combine it with Chitwan for a river-to-jungle trip.
