Is Nepal worth photographing in the monsoon?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

Yes, if you like green hills, dramatic clouds and full waterfalls. Rice terraces are at their brightest in July and August, rivers run strong, and the air after rain can be crisp. The trade-off is poor mountain visibility and slippery trails.

Bring waterproof covers for your gear and silica packs for the bag. Use the time to shoot villages, farmers planting rice, temples in mist and waterfalls, and treat any mountain glimpse as a bonus.
