The short answer
Snow reliably falls on the high Himalaya from late autumn through spring. For visitors, accessible snowfall places include Kalinchowk in winter, higher stages of the Annapurna and Everest trails, Mustang in cold months and sometimes the hills around Kathmandu on very cold days, although that is rare.
Check road status and weather before travel, since snow can close passes. Dress for deep cold, protect cameras from moisture and shoot in the morning when the snow is crisp and shadows are long.
