What should I know about Baruntse?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

Baruntse is usually climbed from the Hinku valley, with the Amphu Labtsa pass as an access route. It involves glacier travel, steep snow and high camps, and sees fewer climbers than Ama Dablam.

Many climbers combine Mera Peak with Baruntse as a long itinerary for acclimatisation and variety.
