The short answer
Hotel class is one of the largest differences between quotes. Budget guesthouses, standard hotels, resorts and luxury properties are priced very differently, and the same hotel can vary by season. In Nepal, location matters as much as stars: a lakeside room in Pokhara or a quiet heritage property in Kathmandu costs more than a similar room away from the centre.
State the hotel class and area you want when you ask for a quote, and ask for the hotel names so you can look at recent reviews. Breakfast is often included, and other meals depend on the plan. Hotel standards at altitude are simpler, so adjust expectations for Muktinath and Kailash.
