The short answer
Autumn (about October to November) has clear skies and stable weather, and it is the main trekking and tour season. Spring (about March to May) brings warm days, rhododendron blooms in the hills and good views, though haze can build in the valleys later in the season.
Both are good; autumn is the more predictable, spring the more colourful. Summer monsoon and winter are different options, with their own pros and cons.
