The short answer
The rhododendron is Nepal's national flower and it blooms from about March to May, starting at lower elevations and moving up the slopes. Famous places include the Ghorepani and Poon Hill area, the Annapurna foothills, the Langtang and Helambu valleys, Shivapuri, Phulchoki and the Khumbu forests below Namche.
The best weeks are usually in April, but dates shift each year with weather. Combine a bloom walk with views of snow peaks for the classic spring picture.
