The short answer
The Dhaulagiri circuit is a hard, remote trek around Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m) via French Pass (about 5,360 m) and Dhampus Pass (about 5,244 m). It involves glacier travel, camping and very few settlements, so it is for experienced trekkers with good acclimatisation. It usually takes about two weeks.
Support needs include a full camping team, a licensed guide and careful weather planning.
