What are the high-altitude treks in Nepal?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

The highest popular treks include Everest Base Camp and Three Passes, Annapurna Circuit with Thorong La, Manaslu Circuit with Larkya La, Kanchenjunga, and the Gokyo lakes. They involve sleeping above about 4,000 metres and, on some, crossing passes above 5,000 metres.

These need acclimatisation, a good guide, permits and a margin for weather. Do not attempt them as a first trek without preparation.
