The short answer
Kathmandu has the widest set of flights from the UAE, with services from Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi operated by several Gulf and Nepali airlines. Flight time is typically around four to five hours. Because competition is higher, fares and timings give you more choice than the Pokhara route.
If you want the Kathmandu Valley first, fly to Kathmandu. If you want Pokhara and Annapurna first, compare the direct Pokhara flight against a Kathmandu flight plus a domestic hop or road trip.
