The short answer
Yala Peak (about 5,732 m) above Kyanjin Gompa in Langtang is a popular non-technical first summit. Naya Kanga or Ganja La Chuli (about 5,844 m) is a nearby alternative. In the Rolwaling and Gaurishankar region, Ramdung (about 5,930 m) and Paldor (about 5,896 m) are the typical trekking-peak choices.
These areas are quieter than the Khumbu and Annapurna. Access is by road to the trailhead followed by several days of walking.
