How do I plan a Helambu or Gosaikunda trek?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

Helambu is a Sherpa and Tamang foothill region close to Kathmandu with a gentle five to seven day circuit. Gosaikunda is a sacred lake system at about 4,380 m in Langtang, often combined with Helambu in about ten days. Both start near Sundarijal or Dhunche.

Helambu suits beginners; Gosaikunda needs more acclimatisation and is busy at the Janai Purnima festival.
