The short answer
The Great Himalaya Trail is a long-distance route linking existing trails across the length of Nepal from east to west, passing Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Manaslu, Annapurna and Dolpo. The full traverse takes several months, so most trekkers do sections, such as the Everest section or the Manaslu to Annapurna link.
Sections vary from lodge-based treks to remote camping routes with high passes. Planning a section needs careful permits and logistics.
