The short answer
This five to seven day trek flies to Lukla, walks to Namche Bazaar and then turns up to viewpoints and Tengboche monastery, without going all the way to Base Camp. It gives repeated views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam, while letting you experience Sherpa villages, monasteries and mountain trails on a shorter schedule.
It is moderate in difficulty because you gain height to roughly 3,860 metres at Tengboche, so you need a rest day in Namche. The trek depends on the Lukla flight, so keep a spare day. It is a good option for people who want Everest scenery but not the full Base Camp commitment.
