The short answer
Junbesi is a Sherpa village at about 2,700 metres in Solu, on a path from Salleri and Phaplu. It has family-run lodges, orchards and a peaceful setting. Thuptenchholing is an active monastery about an hour away, founded in the twentieth century, where many monks and nuns study and meditate.
Together they make a slow cultural stop. Visit the monastery quietly, dress modestly, remove shoes where asked and ask before taking photographs. Junbesi is also a junction for the Pikey and Dudhkunda trails, so it works as a base for a few days.
