The short answer
The Marsyangdi, whose name means raging river, is a steep, technical river with Class IV to V rapids and views of Manaslu and Annapurna. A typical four-day trip starts with a drive and short trek from Khudi side, then rafts through canyons and a hydropower section where boats are carried around the dam.
It is for confident paddlers who can follow commands quickly and handle a swim. Dam works and road changes can alter access, so ask your operator about the current put-in and take-out. The river is often run with a trek day, which adds village scenery to the adrenaline.
