What Decides the Cost of a Nepal Trip · Cost drivers

Does the season change what a Nepal trip costs?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

Yes. Autumn, from late September to November, and spring are peak seasons, when flights and hotels are in demand and prices tend to be higher. Monsoon is quieter and often cheaper, but weather can cause delays. Festival weeks such as Dashain, Tihar and major Hindu holidays also push demand.

If you can, shift your dates by a week or two to avoid the busiest days. Mid-week check-ins can be easier. The quiet months suit travellers who want fewer crowds and are willing to accept more weather risk, but check which attractions are open.
