The short answer
Five days fits Kathmandu and Pokhara, or Kathmandu and a short Chitwan stay, at a steady pace. Seven days adds a jungle stop or a longer Pokhara, and relaxes the pace. Ten days allows Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan with rest, or a short trek or pilgrimage add-on.
More days usually means fewer rushed transfers rather than more sights. If travelling with children or seniors, add a day rather than a stop.
