The short answer
Pikey Peak (about 4,065 m) in Solukhumbu offers one of the best long views of Everest and the eastern Himalaya from a relatively modest height. The trek is short, usually four to six days, passes Sherpa and Rai villages with homestays, and is a quiet alternative to the Everest Base Camp trail.
Best months are autumn and spring, when views are clear.
