What should men wear in Nepal?

The short answer

Long trousers or knee-length shorts, and shirts or T-shirts with sleeves, are comfortable for cities. At temples, keep knees and shoulders covered, so avoid sleeveless tops. Lightweight cotton or quick-dry fabrics work well in warm weather.

For evenings and cooler months, add a fleece or light jacket. Comfortable walking shoes or sandals that slip off easily are practical. On treks, wear moisture-wicking layers, trekking trousers and sturdy boots.
