What are the dos and don'ts in Nepal's national parks and jungles?

The short answer

Do follow your naturalist guide's instructions, keep quiet and move slowly, wear neutral-coloured clothes, and carry water and insect repellent. Do keep a safe distance from animals and stay with the group on walks and boat rides.

Don't feed or approach wildlife, litter, play loud music or leave marked paths. Take rubbish back with you. Carry your permit and follow park rules. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to see animals, so plan to rest in the heat of the day.
