The short answer
On the Kathmandu to Pokhara road, stops with views include the stretches above the Trishuli, the Kurintar and Manakamana area, and Dumre for access to Bandipur. On the Araniko road, roadside tea stops give views into the Sun Koshi gorge. On the Tribhuvan Rajpath, Daman is the famous view stop.
Choose stops that have clean toilets and food that is freshly cooked. Late morning is a good lunch window, and avoid stopping at the narrowest bends.
