The short answer
Sagarhawa is a forest site with an ancient pond known as Lumbu Sagar, linked in tradition with the story of the Shakya massacre. Araurakot is a large rectangular fortified area with traces of a moat and brick walls, associated with the birthplace of Kanakmuni Buddha.
Both are quiet, rural and less visited. They are for visitors who like archaeology and history. A guide helps bring the sites to life. Allow about an hour for both, and combine with Niglihawa.
