The short answer
Most Kailash tours cross into Tibet, travel to Saga or Zhangmu region then onward to Manasarovar and Darchen, where the kora begins. The outer circuit is walked over about three days, with high passes. Pilgrims often add Manasarovar bathing and Rakshas Tal.
Rules, vehicles and lodging are arranged by the operator. See the Kailash section for medical needs, altitude and cost.
