Where are the hot springs in Nepal?

By Base Camp Tours, licensed Nepal travel agency (Tourism License 3121/080) · Updated · 1 min read

The short answer

The best-known hot springs are on the Annapurna trails: Jhinu Danda near the Annapurna Sanctuary, Tatopani on the Kali Gandaki route (the name means hot water) and some springs near Chame on the Annapurna circuit. They are popular for tired legs at the end of a trek and are usually simple stone-lined pools.

Pools are shared and facilities vary. Check hygiene, keep dips short at altitude and avoid soaking if you have a heart condition or feel dizzy. Spring areas near Kathmandu exist but are less developed.
